Shymkentcement plant located in Shymkent, South Kazakhstan Oblast, was founded in 1958. The production capacity of the plant is 1.3 mln. tonnes of cement per year. The cement produced in the plant is in demand in many large construction projects throughout Kazakhstan.

Construction of a new dry line was started in September 2014, and the total investment amounts to about 80 mln. USD. The Plant Upgrading Project is included in the Performance 2020 State Program. The new line stands out for its cutting-edge indicators on environmental protection, occupational safety and efficiency.

In 2016 the Shymkentcement plant became a part of the HeidelbergCement Group.
